Me, listening to her favourite marketing podcasts of 2025
Me, listening to her favourite marketing podcasts of 2025

Over the last few months, I’ve been spending 2.5 to 3 hours a day driving. At first, I dreaded it. How would I fill all that time without getting bored or even risking falling asleep?

As a busy working mum with a five-year-old, I’m usually in constant motion. Driving is one of the only times I’m forced to sit still and do nothing.

Instead of resenting the drive, I decided to turn it into an opportunity to upskill myself personally and professionally.

Why Podcasts Are My Go-To Marketing Tool

I’ve always been a podcast listener, but mostly at bedtime. (Confession: when my son was a newborn, I used to put on the news at night to help me fall back to sleep after feeds.) Inevitably, I’d fall asleep halfway through an episode.

Now, with a daily 2.5-hour window, I can finally listen to full episodes, and it’s been a game-changer for my growth as a marketer.

After leaving a corporate role leading a large marketing and customer activations team, I jumped into a startup. Suddenly, I was back to being hands-on, balancing the “doing” of marketing tools I hadn’t touched since my junior days with the “big-picture” strategy required to grow a brand.

I curated a list of podcasts to help me:

  • Stay ahead of marketing trends, especially AI and digital innovation.

  • Think strategically and creatively.

  • Sharpen my tactical marketing skills.

Here are my Top 5 Marketing Podcasts that have been essential to that journey:

Why I love it: Jon Evans is a heavyweight in UK marketing. As CEO of System1 and former leader of brands like Lucozade and BrewDog, he brings serious expertise to the table. His guests—CMOs of the world’s biggest brands—push boundaries, challenge old theories, and embrace bold marketing strategies.

AI is a recurring topic, and this podcast helps me stay informed as the landscape evolves daily.

This podcast breaks down complex AI tools and prompts in a way that’s easy to follow, even while driving. They explore:

  • How AI can streamline your marketing team.

  • Real-world use cases for ChatGPT and other tools.

It’s practical, thought-provoking, and ideal for marketers who want to stay ahead.

A fantastic way to discover new brands, especially from the US, and learn from their strategies. They:

  • Dive into AI-driven marketing approaches.

  • Highlight tools not yet popular in the UK.

  • Break campaigns down into core marketing principles.

Sometimes it runs a bit long for my taste, but it’s always worth it for the ideas it sparks.

Marketing psychology at its best. This podcast reminds me of why marketing works by exploring the science behind persuasion. Topics range from:

  • A surprisingly effective way to persuade (almost) anyone.

  • Why naming a dish “field-grown” doubles sales.

If you like blending creativity with behavioral science, this one’s for you.

Not strictly a marketing podcast, but Bartlett’s obsession with AI makes it a goldmine for future-focused professionals. His UK vs. US perspective on AI tools has been particularly valuable for understanding what’s coming next.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a marketer looking to level up your skills on the go, these podcasts are a great place to start. They’ve kept me inspired, informed, and motivated to think bigger about the future of marketing.
